Violence is prevalent world over. Violence is the opposite of peace. Jesus gives peace, not violence. Jesus is also merciful, not violent. Christians do not partake in violence. Rather, they engage in peaceful acts of mercy. These acts of grace build people up, rather than destroy them. These are acts of love, not hatred. In this video we will see both.
The small boy who gives food to the needy has the words, ‘Show Love,’ on his t-shirt. He is showing love in action.
The young man sitting in the courtroom witness chair just gave his victim impact statement. His leaving the witness stand to embrace the defendant, a Caucasian female, is another example of love in action. She had admitted shooting and killing his beloved brother (due to a grievous unintentional mistake on her part), yet he forgave her and wished her no ill will, but only the blessing of knowing Jesus Christ. The young man then asked the judge if he could give her a hug and was granted permission.
May we all show such grace and mercy in our lives.
